About My life and Wellness

The spirit of the practice is solution-focused and strength-based approaches.
This practice has been operating in Hong Kong since 2013. The goal is to support children, teens, adults, the elderly, and families through warm and caring professional services. It is started and run by a Hong Kong based Clinical Psychologist who is proud of her Result-Oriented Approach. Dr Verma has been in the field of Psychological Science for more than 20 years. When not supporting her clients in her clinical practice, she is researching in area of children and adolescent mental health. Dr Verma is a published researcher and her keen interest lies in school based mental health interventions.

My life and wellness advocates for community mental health initiatives. The therapist donates the earnings from one session each month to Hong Kong charities (Zubin Foundation and Kely Support Group), expressing gratitude for their efforts in bringing mental health support to the underserved. The therapist also supports two pro bono clients at a time and conducts one psychoeducational assessment monthly, free of charge. If needed, connect with subject " Probono".
Sometimes, assessment and therapy is not the imediate solution to one's distress. Dr Verma invites you to conect with her to discuss your concerns and hopes to guide you in most appropriate direction! If needed, conect with subject "15 mins."
"Each person is an island unto himself, in a very real sense; and he can only build bridges to other islands if he is first of all willing to be himself and permitted to be himself.” Carl Rogers , Humanistic Psychologist

Originally from India, I have studied, lived and worked in USA, Shanghai and Hongkong. I have been living in Hongkong since last 12 years, caring for children, adolescents, adults and families in schools, my private practice and at The London Medical Clinic in central.
I started to study Psychology in 1992 with keen interest in human mind and behaviour. In doing so, inlast few decades I have relentlessly pursued high academic development and profesional training in new evidence based interventions. I feel blessed that what started as an academic interest became a passion to practice and continues to do so! I practice Clinical Psychology , Counselling and Behaviour health. I take pride in my "integrated" mode of therapy targetting reduction of stress and anxiety and enhancement of every client's emotional wellness.

I am humbled with my personal and professional experiences in various cultues and settings which has tremendously sharpened my broad culturally sensitive therapeutic skills. Besides speaking Hindi and English, I also understand Punjabi.
